Unincorporated Coffee Roasters' flagship location sits at 3045 Lincoln Ave in Altadena — the original roastery that started it all in 2018. This is where the coffee is roasted, where Alan Janoyan and Arthur Sohrabian built their vision, and where specialty coffee meets genuine approachability.
Every bag that ships online gets roasted here. Stop in and you'll smell it. The San Franciscan roasting machines run through the week — small batches, to order, nothing sitting on a shelf for months.
What to Expect
The Altadena location is a roastery first, café second. You'll find the full coffee menu — espresso drinks, pour-overs, and batch brew — alongside the full retail lineup of 12oz bags to take home. The staff knows the coffees and will actually help you find one you'll like.
Order-ahead is available through The House. Walk-ins always welcome.

The Mural Project
The Altadena roastery is also home to UCR's annual Mural Grant — a rotating outdoor mural series featuring local artists. Past artists include Brendan Monroe, Cleon Peterson, and Austin Scott, whose 2024 "Altadena Forever" mural became a community landmark in the months after the Eaton Canyon Fire.
Cupping Experiences
The Nest (3021 Lincoln Ave., just down the block) hosts monthly cupping experiences led by Matthew Jackson — a guided tasting of the full UCR lineup in professional cupping format. $15/person, 2 hours, includes a 10% discount on coffee purchased during the session.
