Three Idiots
Medium Roast · Pour-Over Blend
Named after the three founders. Three Idiots is a medium roast blend built specifically for pour-over — brighter than La Casa, more complex than a single origin. Natural and washed process coffees from Ethiopia, Colombia, and Guatemala, combined to hit something genuinely interesting in the cup.
Roasted to order in Altadena. Ships within 2 days of your order.
The Coffee
Three Idiots is a medium roast blend that leans brighter than La Casa. Ethiopia brings the fruit and the funk — natural process, heirloom varietals. Colombia and Guatemala add structure and sweetness. The result is a cup that's complex without being difficult.
The name is self-deprecating on purpose. The three founders named it after themselves.
How to Brew It
Designed for pour-over. V60 and Chemex both work well — coarser grind, slightly cooler water (around 200°F), 3–4 minute brew. You'll get the melon notes up front and the chocolate on the finish.
Also works as a medium-strength drip. Don't pull it as espresso — it's not built for that.
Subscription
Three Idiots is available as a monthly subscription. Good choice if you brew pour-over every morning and want something with more going on than a house blend.
